    One of my most interesting courses in school dealt solely (soul-ly?) with the Divine Comedy. It appealed to the antiquarian in me.
    .
    Do you think as the centuries go by that old-style sins are obsoleted and modern ones put in place, and that Dante’s conception would therefore be different if written today? I mean, on a serious, scholarly level, not in the science fiction style that Larry Niven and Jerry Pournelle used for their novels ( not that those books aren’t fun to read).
