    Anyone spot the ‘Jefferson Starfish’ poster?
    I’ve never seen an episode of this show … is that a normal joke?

    @Bruno Zeigerts

    I tried watching it – had to stop because he reminds me of a former co-worker!

    Spot the poster- yes.
    Normal- not necessarily, but typically, yes.
    If you expect normalcy in a cartoon about a sponge exhibiting anthropomorphic behavior, that’s not gonna happen. Accept it for what it is- entertainment- and go with the flow. It isn’t great literature… yet. May never be.

    What I mean was .. .Is Jefferson Starfish a joke from the show .. or just part of the strip?
    And .. .what happened to my first reply? It seems to have disappeared!
    Does this site have gremlins or something?

    A wet mattress for someone who lives on the floor of the ocean – who’d a thunk?
    I would have thought that he’d sleep on a clam bed.

    .
    I’m glad I’m not the only one. I was thinking to myself what am I going to post if people here find Doris Day offensive?
    .
    My comment listing her singing “High Hopes” disappeared.

    After the breakup of Jefferson Airplane, Grace Slick and Paul Kantner formed a dreadfully awful new band called Jefferson Starship.

    I had no idea Jefferson Starfish was anything other than a send up of this band.
