   Spot the poster- yes.
   Normal- not necessarily, but typically, yes.
   If you expect normalcy in a cartoon about a sponge exhibiting anthropomorphic behavior, that’s not gonna happen. Accept it for what it is- entertainment- and go with the flow. It isn’t great literature… yet. May never be.
