At first I thought it was a misprint, but it is spelled sivilized in Huckleberry Finn

He could rip any of those four in Twain!

The spelling “sivilized” is that of Mark Twain in “The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn,” through the character of Huckleberry.
    .
The dress is, I’m guessing, based on the illustrations in a different edition of that tale than the one I have.
    .
I am still at a loss to understand this strip though.

“That is just the way with some people. They get down on a thing when they don’t know nothing about it.”

It is a pun. Easy to understand. The Incredible Hulk, the Incredible Huck Finn.

    To paraphrase:

That pun was made by Mr. Scott Hilburn, and he told the truth mainly. There was some things which he stretched…..
    .
But seriously, thanks for the explanation, it’s appreciated.

    @win

Adventures of Huckleberry Finn is the sequel to The Adventures of Tom Sawyer.

Mark Twain makes this distinction clear in the 1884 forward to his classic novel.

I’ve often wondered how a super hero dresses for Halloween.

Okay – my first laugh out loud moment this morning.
I love Mark Twain and I’m glad there are Mark Twain appreciators here.

    From Rush
Exit the warrior today’s Tom Sawyer.
I was a big fan about Nick Fury Agent of Shield back when the comic was out.
He was portraited as white guy with an eye patch.
    When did that change????
I mean I like the actor doing it now but………

They just fear that Huck’s not PC enough for them. Huck keeps calling Col. Fury.. N-word Fury.
