   I’ve seen this cartoon before over the years. Why don’t cartoonists check to see if a cartoon has been done before? A lot of cartoonists make this mistake

    I believe you mean Larson, not Larsen. You’re reminded of the Far Side when you see this because,
    let’s face it, these characters look EXACTLY like Larson’s. Hold up a Lason cartoon to these - look left and then right. Maybe this IS Larson. I honestly would not be surprised - and this sounds like Mel Gibson’s conspiracy theory - that this IS Larson doing this with a person fronting. I’m onlly joking, but not 100% joking. It’s just that of all the cartoons I’ve ever seen, I’ve never seen two drawing styles be almost exactly identical. THe main difference is the computer dropped color in thisd cartoon as opposed to the more painterly look of Far Side.
    
    I’m also amazed that I don’r read more about this. I mean if Garfield was being drawn to look like Top Cat or HeathCliff, people would be all over it.
    I know this cartoon does not look like Bizarro or Rubes or Speed Bump.

    Larson, Larsen, ok ok.
    Since ‘the far side’ is no longer around , ‘The argyle sweater’ fills in the void left behind very nicely, and if his characters are identical and he can get away with it , so much the better…I love the concept , not the guy’s name in the corner..
    ……but, who the heck is dan reynolds???????
