If you are not smart enough to know that you aren’t supposed to drink Mr Clean then maybe you SHOULD drink it. That is Natural selection. I agree with RUNAR. I don’t think that the editors note is part of the joke, its a real warning.
This reminds me of a stand-up act I was watching. I can’t remember who it was but the comedian comments on the fact that he saw a hammer in a hardware store with a warning that said “Striking yourself in the head could cause irreparible damage or death.”
The editor’s note is in the same lettering style as all the lettering in this comic. It’s part of the joke. And real, too. But not a real editor; just a real warning! Oh, my head hurts now…!
The Argyle Sweater presents a surreal, hilarious (and sometimes punny) look at the world you think you know. Armed with a willingness to explore every edge of the surreal, Scott Hilburn’s creation presents his sharply unique take on history, everyday life and the truly absurd.

It’s a sad commentary on our society that the editor’s note is thought necessary.

I’m so glad they put that caveat at the bottom.

Buckleylover: Was the hammer made by ‘3 Stooges Mfg. Co.’
or ‘ACME’?
