‘BTG’ is one of the most popular humor authors of all time. With numerous New York Times Best Sellers to his credit, countless publishing awards, and over 22,000,000 copies sold in 115 countries, you would think his brain would be highly organized ... But it’s not.
The Lost Bear feature, exclusive to GoComics, is ample proof of this. Welcome to BTG’s lifelong cerebral misadventure. The Lost Bear showcases the delightfully odd daily debris that tumbles out of BTG’s head when his mental engine starts to misfire. This is public therapy at its most entertaining, set within an absurdist pseudo-intellectual petting zoo – Feel free to feed the bear.

I guess that’s the first fowl of the year. These elegant birds are indeed prodigious prolific profuse poo pyramid producers and they roost in trees.

So true – but they are beautiful birds, esp with the tails out.

The ball at Times Square wasn’t the only dropping of the New Year.

In our nearest zoo there is always one posing (and scrounging food) outside the restaurant.

Happy New Year, Lost Bears!!!
Thank you for your delightful, whimsical, acerbic, and amusingly offensive comments over the holidays – I’m now back at my wintry desk and look forward to steering this cartoon feature into as many moral icebergs as possible.
As before the Christmas break, I’ll now be posting new cartoons every Monday, and will be repeating my favourites throughout the rest of the week. If I have more time I’ll try to do better, however I only ever promise varying degrees of disappointment.
One of my new distractions this year is to take on the role of resident wildlife expert on the late night comedy talk show, Chelsea Lately – which screens on the USA, the UK and Australia on the E! Network. My first appearance is next Tuesday, January 8th – so consider yourselves warned.
Anyway, there’s really nothing to be done about 2012, so let’s just get on with 2013 as best we can. We’ll probably end up in a similar mess, but at least we’ll enjoy ourselves.
So then – and without further ado – Here’s to a new year filled with moments of creative insight, general absurdity and good humour!
