‘BTG’ is one of the most popular humor authors of all time. With numerous New York Times Best Sellers to his credit, countless publishing awards, and over 22,000,000 copies sold in 115 countries, you would think his brain would be highly organized ... But it’s not.
The Lost Bear feature, exclusive to GoComics, is ample proof of this. Welcome to BTG’s lifelong cerebral misadventure. The Lost Bear showcases the delightfully odd daily debris that tumbles out of BTG’s head when his mental engine starts to misfire. This is public therapy at its most entertaining, set within an absurdist pseudo-intellectual petting zoo – Feel free to feed the bear.

BTG…A wonderful testimonial (stated in the wry and jestful manner that would be expected) by one of the funniest guys of all time. You must be thrilled.

So, did You catch any sights in the ‘Big Orange’?
….that My first, and likely last time ‘tweeting’ yesterday, at least until the next time. But it was fun, and reinforced My concept of BTG as a Chess Grandmaster, playing a dozen Games at once, blindfolded.

@Tame
I am indeed, Tame,
As I have said elsewhere, I believe it a great honour to be celebrated and eviscerated with such exquisitely cruel comedic precision by one of my life-long idols.

You are too kind, Eldo,
And thank you once again for coming to the party. It was nice to see a familiar avatar amidst a sea of virtual strangers.
I am most flattered by your compliment, though I am more of a one-eyed, slightly tipsy checkers player than a blindfolded Chess Grandmaster.

John Cleese is a renowned wit and I agree with him 100%. Which is strange as people tell me I’m only 50% as witty as John.

Would have been there, but I vowed never to twerp, teet, twitter or twaddle after a friend was threatened by someone she’d never even met on Book Face.

Hello Lost Bears,
As you would have gathered by now, this is a pretty big weekend for me – the official launch of a small comic gift book on Sunday is a notable highpoint of my year … underwhelming though that thought may seem to so many reasonable people.
As such, the next 48-72 hours are going to be all about the launch, and I apologise if you are growing weary of the publishing related fuss and froth.
I can assure you that normal Lost Bear service – whatever that means – will resume by Tuesday. So feel free to tune out for a day or three if, in my sleepless state of excitement and anxiety, I am getting on your nerves.
It’s been two years since I last delivered a book into the wrold, and this particular book is quite a departure from my previous path, and a lot is riding on its success, in more ways than one: I really had to push hard for it to be exactly the way it is, and some very special people stuck their neck out for me.
On the flip-side, if you choose to stay – and of course I sincerely hope you do – I would be extremely grateful if you could help spread the word around Go Comics, and amongst like-minded friends in cyberspace, about the free E-Book offer.
The E-Book edition is completely free: The “price” is $0.00, no strings attached. It is available for every leading E-Reader format on the planet.
This is the first time I have ever tried such a promotion – And it will all end after Monday (I was only granted one week of capitalist leave to undertake this giveaway). I would love as many people as possible, all over the world, to take advantage of this offer.
Also, if you have actually downloaded the E-Book edition, please share your reviews. Good or bad, I certainly don’t mind, so long as you review with honesty, originality, wit and your characteristic verve. I would genuinely like to know what you and your friends think.
I readily appreciate most of you are far more internet savvy than I ever will be, and if you can help start a conversation about ‘Curses & Blessings’ that will be very good for my publisher and I, and hopefully fun for everybody else as well.
Thank you for your tolerance, and for the genuine support and kind thoughts so many of you have sent my way – this has been greatly appreciated.
I hope you have enjoyed watching this little book come together over the past 12 months, and I especially hope you enjoy the finished result.
Cheerio!

Ah Superpun, I love how your admission of half-wittery is in fact incredibly witty.
Well played, clever Cane Toad.

A wise move, Slim Chips,
As I found out today, the Tweeterverse is not for the faint of heart or thin of skin.

Pease, not “Slim Chips”, I quite liked being the caveman. I have dowloaded “Curses and Blessings” and I am enjoying it, albeit slowly, as much as your other masterpieces..
.
Talking of tipsy checkers, I have recently become the owner of a new set of dominoes. Not with the usual double blank to double six but up to double eighteen. Now let’s see how well my sis-in-law can cheat.

Extraordinary.

I posted this link earlier at Andy Capp…

So shall it be, Articulate Caveman!
I must say, though I’m not particularly good at the game, I love dominoes, and only wish it was still a popular gentleman’s cafe pastime, such as it was outside the bars and beer-gardensin Hong Kong, when I was a little boy.

@Number Six
Classic comedy fare, Number Six.
This is early Cleese, still fresh from Cambridge and the Footlights. He really has worked with all the British greats.
Love it!
