‘BTG’ is one of the most popular humor authors of all time. With numerous New York Times Best Sellers to his credit, countless publishing awards, and over 22,000,000 copies sold in 115 countries, you would think his brain would be highly organized ... But it’s not.
The Lost Bear feature, exclusive to GoComics, is ample proof of this. Welcome to BTG’s lifelong cerebral misadventure. The Lost Bear showcases the delightfully odd daily debris that tumbles out of BTG’s head when his mental engine starts to misfire. This is public therapy at its most entertaining, set within an absurdist pseudo-intellectual petting zoo – Feel free to feed the bear.

A pitcher of misery. He’s losing his influence.

Maybe poor Phlegmon’s approach was too inflammatory.
Well, Cadel couldn’t break way from Wiggins, again, and Team Sky look stronger, too. The TT Tomorrow [stg 9] should be revealing.

@BTG
Following your recent inspirational drawing regarding homelessness, I’ve signed up for the Winter Sleepout. I was wondering if it would be ok for me to include my fund raising website of:-
http://fundraise.wintersleepout.com.au/geoff_elsworth
on this comic so that interested lost bears could donate to helping homeless people in Australia .
I’m really not sure what the rules are for this sort of thing.
Anyway, I’ll be sleeping rough (for me that means out in the cold cold garage) on the 8th of August and any support would be welcome.

It’s influenzed by the weather, and sales are shot. People are looking for cold drinks this time of year.

@Superfrog
Sleeping out IN the garage? Go on, be rash and leave the door open.
Wish I’d had a garage when I got evicted when I was 18. One night out in the open was enough for me and I resolved never to be late with my rent again.

@pcolli
I think the garage is rough enough for me at my age. It’s concrete floor, steel walls with no insulation, a few spiders and geckos and probably the odd mouse. We’re out in the bush so I wouldn’t want a wallaby tripping over me in the dark and I don’t fancy being dingo bait.
Last time I slept out was in ’96 when my son and I were caught by flood water and we spent the night in the car waiting for the water to go down, the sun to come up and the mosquitos to piss off.
As you say ’one night out in the open" is an unforgetable experience. On any given night 105000 Australians are classified as homeless and 16000 of those will sleep rough in parks, sheds, derelict buildings or on the street.

BTG – You are a horrible, horrible person for drawing this, and I’m not sure if I will ever forgive you.

He looks miserable! But life must have handed him some lemons …

@Superfrog
Understood. You can keep the spiders. I rather like geckos…mice not too bad but no mozzies, please.
.
I remember when we lived in Beachmere we had tree snakes under the house and I used to watch them eating the frogs they caught. I think they were tree snakes; might have been tree frogs. The snakes were green, like the frogs.
.
Good luck with the sleep out.

@BTG:

I’ll remember that play on words for a long time. Good one.
It also brought to mind Peter Cook and Dudley Moore singing “I’ve got a ferret sticking up my nose”.
