The Born Loser began in 1965 as a strip with no central characters that revolved around the loser theme. Gradually, it developed into the comic we see today, starring lovable loser Brutus Thornapple, his wife Gladys, mother-in-law Ramona Gargle, boss Rancid Veeblefester, dim-witted son Wilberforce and the mischievous neighbor Hurricane Hattie O'Hara.
Artist Chip Sansom began apprenticing for his father, Born Loser creator Art Sansom, in 1977. He became a full-time assistant, and gradually took on an ever-increasing role in the drawing and gag-writing duties until his father passed away in 1991.

One of these days they will rename “Oreo’s Double Stuff” as just “Oreos”. That way, they can rename the current Oreos as
“Diet Oreos”.

Vegetables have been downsized too
In my 10 years stocking Frozen Foods I’ve noticed many brands of frozen vegetables slide from 16 oz to 14 and now 12

Shame Hostess couldn’t have moved the twinkies factory to Mexico to get away from the Unions that killed it.

Yeah, or maybe you’ld like to work 10 hr days for $1.30 an hr with no medical and by the way you can’t afford a car so it’s the bus to and from work… that’s 13 hrs…get the kids and hubbie fed, washed, laundry, dishes, sorry no time for sleep, gotta get to the bus stop. It’s not the Unions it’s the CEO greed. IMO of course

The reason companies cut back on sizes, isn’t to annoy us – really – it’s to cut the costs down, so they don’t have to raise prices.

I do not mind that they make stuff smaller but they still keep the same size box . Look at fiber bars you can fit 4 more bars in the box wiht no problem. And my favorite chocolate covered cherries I go a box that use to hold 24 and only had 12 in it now with a lot of plastic

That is true. Yet we are supposed to be cutting down on the waste in the garbage cans as well.

Exactly.
I’m old enough to remember a Hershey bar that was huge and sold for a nickel.
That nickel, over the years, bought a smaller-and-smaller bar.
Then, miraculously, the original size was once again on the market.
But it sold for a quarter.
