The Born Loser began in 1965 as a strip with no central characters that revolved around the loser theme. Gradually, it developed into the comic we see today, starring lovable loser Brutus Thornapple, his wife Gladys, mother-in-law Ramona Gargle, boss Rancid Veeblefester, dim-witted son Wilberforce and the mischievous neighbor Hurricane Hattie O'Hara.
Artist Chip Sansom began apprenticing for his father, Born Loser creator Art Sansom, in 1977. He became a full-time assistant, and gradually took on an ever-increasing role in the drawing and gag-writing duties until his father passed away in 1991.

Who is he going to vote for if both parties don’t call him?

Caller ID is a beautiful thing…

Caller ID is good…no telephone is better.

I’ve turned the ringer on the house phone off on mine until after the elections. Anyone calling me personally knows enough to call my cell, email or IM me anyway.

I know how you feel, Brutus. I’ve had to take those political surveys too & I’m tired of them.

I just tell the survey takers that it’s none of their business who I vote for since it’s a personal matter anyway. I also tell the general survey takers on other topics that I don’t do surveys. The rest of the calls are recorded robocalls and I just hang up on them before the answering machine gets it. Saves having to wait for long winded recordings before I can delete them. For those who say I can delete in the middle of the message, not on my machine. It makes you wait until it’s done. Can’t afford the newfangled ones.

I agree. I always lie to a pollster. if everyone did that, the polls would be useless and politicians would have to state THEIR positions, not just parrot what the polls say.
