Creator Mike Twohy attended San Jose State, majoring in art, then I attended UC-Berkeley, earning an Master of Fine Arts in Painting. He intended to make a living as a painter, and teaching art, but within about a year he sold my first cartoon to a magazine, the Saturday Evening Post and re-routed his career.

This reminds me so much of when I was a kid. I went into the two man shop and asked the new Barber for a D A, He looked at me then leaned over to the barber next to him and had a long animated talk In Italian … Then he got it and he did well.

i got ticked off at a barber in a new shop 2 weeks ago. i told him i wanted my hair blocked in the back & he didn’t know what that meant. i pulled the bib off & told him i wanted a real barber! went to another place
