Thatababy's philosophy can be summed up quite neatly: To keep his parents on their toes. This new comic strip stars - well, a baby, of course, and the mother and father in charge of raising him. Thatababy's premise is as fun and instantly accessible as its crisp, colorful art: It's a baby's job to drive parent's crazy. You may recognize Thatababy as a finalist and runner-up in the Amazon Comic Strip Superstar contest that ran on Amazon.com in the fall of 2009. Thatababy received glowing reviews from the contest's celebrity panel of judges.

Oh, how I remember those days as a Cub Scout myself; made it all the Eagle I might add. You other commentators should watch a 2005 movie called “Down and Derby.”

Working on a Pinewood Derby car was the best father-son bonding I remember. Better even than fishing or hunting.

I have to admit that my pinewood car was about the only thing I built before age 12 that I was proud of. I even did the molten lead pour into the belly so we could drill the lead out until the car was at perfect balance and weight. The air flow I figured would take care of itself since the inset lead let me carve something more like today’s F1 series than NASCAR. It was painted a nice deep gold metallic with gloss.

I love the Auto Insurance ad about the Pinewood Derby and a girl has her car designed as a Formula 1 car, the boys are laughing at her… until she crosses finish line 1st well ahead of them winning the race.
