Bullfighting is bullsh*t – like zoos, circuses, wrestling, boxing, MMA. Stone age entertainment for blockheads off the pain & caging of life.

Somebody should have told that guy, the expression is " Grab the Bull by the Horns !". he seems to have gotten it a little bassakward.

Modestly enlarged image can be found here, or at Mr. Melcher’s blog entry.

The Death of the picador (link shows painting’s French Wikipedia page) isn’t shown online by its current-location (doesn’t have a website).

The Google translation of the French page reads better, though it has fewer details than the painting’s translated Spanish Wikipedia page; the Bing translation may be better — at times like this I wish I would have taken Spanish (didn’t take French either).

It is one of a series of paintings by this artist. Links to each (two at a time, so some repeats) can be found in the descriptions below each image, beginning here (Google translated).

A rather different coloration, click-to-enlarge image can be found here, along with a short description (different title, provides current-location) and artist bio. The artist’s Wikipedia page (Google translated Spanish WIkipedia page has more) and collection (many more under Subcategories at each level).

Second, of 5 works, by this artist, that have, so far, appeared in Mr. Melcher’s blog, to also appear here.

When the bull went off script, Steven Spielberg resolved to never work with animals again.
