    Jesus causes the Church enormous controversy by telling Adam and Eve to get back in the trees.

    Click-to-enlarge image can be found here (Summary has description), or at Mr. Melcher’s blog entry.

    Numbering from the left, this is the 10th scene, in the interior top row, of the Grabow Altarpiece (Google translation of German Wikipedia page has more), shown (size perspective) by a current-location page (descriptions of the full altarpiece interior, exterior). The artist’s Wikipedia page (Google translated German Wikipedia page has more) and collection (more under Subcategories).

    So far, 2 works, by this artist, have appeared in Mr. Melcher’s blog.

    P.S.What I wrote about the Maury show yesterday is generally true; but its Wikipedia page says it isn’t solely devoted to paternity tests.

    When I retired, exactly 6 months before turning 58 in 2004, I needed something to fill my time, and I’ll admit to watching it more than a few times back then. The shows I watched were always about paternity, sometimes with the surprise You are not the father climax — as I recall, one poor girl had to experience that embarrassment on at least 3 different shows; amazing she kept coming back; perhaps it was her only income source.

    Anyway, I left the post just to see if someone would correct me (thereby admitting to watching the show).

    Also in the altarpiece’s Creation of Eve scene click-to-enlarge image, and perhaps others. Maybe it was part of their creation so they wouldn’t have to explain the difference to their children. What can I say; the church accepted it.

    It was too late for ’Same Day Service" at the cleaners and they needed fresh leaves for the going away party.
    Sorry about the poison ivy, Eve

    @pcolli

    Nope! It tastes just like that feathery thing running around in the backyard.
