If the concerto was better the spider monkey wouldn’t be bored.

Well, she’s playing a clavichord, which unless you’re sitting
right on top of it is all but inaudible….

She’s clearly playing the Concerto #8; what’s wrong with you?

Dorothy entertains the Munchkins with her keyboard skillz at the “Witch Is Dead” party, but the guy from the Lollipop Guild remains unimpressed.

The name of the concerto leads one to believe there are six more bored spider monkeys somewhere around the house.

Oh, okay…what I thought was a dark metal jar is a monkey. Note to self: get eyes tested.

Click-to-enlarge image can be found here, or at Mr. Melcher’s blog entry.

Woman Playing a Virginal (link shows Wikipedia page) is described (Google translation) by its current location page (translated title is The Virginal Player). Click the minus spyglass there for the full, interactive enlargeable, different coloration image (here’s a portion). Chrome can automatically translate the Dutch page; both Google and Bing fail.

Pages 133-135 of an online book provide a full description of it (page 137 has the other virginal painting it mentions). The artist’s (this is first of 3 of his paintings shown there) Wikipedia page and collection (more under Subcategories).

Second (has other painting mentioned in book description of this painting), of the 2 works, by this artist, that have, so far, appeared in Mr. Melcher’s blog, to also appear here.

There were harpsichords with 38 keys, early ones or clavichords could even have fewer.
