Tired of art snobs and their stuffy old museums? So was Steve Melcher, so he created That Is Priceless -- dedicated to taking art’s greatest masterpieces down a peg with irreverent new titles. You don’t have to be an art lover to appreciate Steve’s sticking it to the man on a regular basis – especially when that man is someone like Caravaggio, who when you look a little closer, was really kind of a jerk.

Click-to-enlarge image can be found here or here. Modest enlargement can be found at Mr. Melcher’s blog entry.
Portrait of Théodore Duret (link shows his Google translated French Wikipedia page, Google translated German Wikipedia page has more) is shown, with a different coloration image, and described, by its current-location page.
He is mentioned in an artist bio. Other details, along with another different coloration image, can be found here.
Another different coloration, click-to-enlarge image can be found here, and another one can be found here; but many different coloration and detail images are available online.
The artist‘s (link also mentions Duret) bio, Wikipedia page (Google translated French Wikipedia page has more), and collection (more under Subcategories at each level).
Sixth, of the 11 works, by this artist, that have, so far, appeared in Mr. Melcher’s blog, to also appear here.

@Number Six, @Linguist, and @pcolli:
Perhaps it’s sacrilege in the UK (or maybe it was stolen from a TV series there, as several US series have been recently, probably longer), but there’s a modern version in the US called Elementary.
In the US version, Dr. Watson is a woman, played by Lucy Liu. She lives with Holmes. So far, there has been no on-screen romance, but both leave hints that’s probably in the cards.
