Tired of art snobs and their stuffy old museums? So was Steve Melcher, so he created That Is Priceless -- dedicated to taking art’s greatest masterpieces down a peg with irreverent new titles. You don’t have to be an art lover to appreciate Steve’s sticking it to the man on a regular basis – especially when that man is someone like Caravaggio, who when you look a little closer, was really kind of a jerk.

Enlarged image can be found here, or at the only work by this artist, so far, to appear in Mr. Melcher’s blog.
The Fable of Diogenes, Looking with a Lantern For an Honest Man (link shows his Wikipedia page) is described, along with a different coloration, click-to-humongous image (may take a while to load), by its current location page (Google translated). The artist’s WIkipedia page and collection.
He (figure at the left) must have been one big dude, hands the size of a calf’s head; but then, the turkey, bunny, and pitcher aren’t exactly small either. Is that Pan lying there on the right? Who says cartoons aren’t educational?
