“I gotta tell ya… The king’s eyesight is bad.”

    “How bad is it?”

“It’s so bad… I have to make my signature the biggest thing on the Declaration of Independence so he can see it!”

Click-to-enlarge image can be found here, or at Mr. Melcher’s blog entry.

John Hancock (link shows his Wikipedia page) is shown by its current-location page. It has a description (More shows full description, with more about the artist as well), a different coloration click-to-enlarge image, plus a couple detail images, here and here.

The resemblance is also noted here (not sure who saw it first). Another different coloration, click-to-enlarge image can be found here. Another different coloration image can be found here. The artist‘s Wikipedia page and collection (more under Subcategories at each level).

Twelfth of the 13 works (for some reason, this and this weren’t found by the search today, perhaps others won’t be on some future date; they appeared here and here, respectively) by this artist, that have, so far, appeared in Mr. Melcher’s blog, to also appear here.

I miss ‘Art Fern’ (Johnny Carson) and the TEA TIME MOVIE with the ‘Matinee Lady’. Johnny always worked tn the line, “Go to the Slauson Cutoff…”, and the audience would respond with, ‘…and cutoff your Slauson.’

Never been on it. Always thought it was a fake, but the street has its own Wikipedia page.
