Tired of art snobs and their stuffy old museums? So was Steve Melcher, so he created That Is Priceless -- dedicated to taking art’s greatest masterpieces down a peg with irreverent new titles. You don’t have to be an art lover to appreciate Steve’s sticking it to the man on a regular basis – especially when that man is someone like Caravaggio, who when you look a little closer, was really kind of a jerk.

Click-to-enlarge image can be found here, or at Mr. Melcher’s blog entry.
The Fountain of Youth (link shows Wikipedia page) is shown with a different coloration image in a current-location (painting is at the 1:26 mark of the embedded video there) page. Other coloration images, by one of its partners can be found here (click an image for interactive enlargement, click the script/Datenblatt anziegen icon to return, Chrome users can translate the page).
Another coloration image can be found here, along with a description, and descriptions of detail images here, here, here, here, here, and here (click image at each to enlarge). Another different coloration image can be found here; but there are many different coloration and detail images available online. The artist‘s Wikipedia page and collection (many more under Subcategories at each level).
Second of the 4 works by this artist, that have, so far, appeared in Mr. Melcher’s blog, to also appear here.

Is there any arcane art knowledge that you are not across?
BTW, thanks for the e-Card, very sweet.

To me that looks like a tail gate party on an El Camino in the upper right hand corner.

Every day I pretty much start from scratch, usually haven’t seen the painting before. I don’t really have any prior art knowledge, arcane or otherwise.

For a minute there I thought this was a Hieronymous Bosch…but once I enlarged it (and boy I had to) it wasn’t.

As I may say from time to time, it is deeply appreciated. I would like a bit more time to review the links you always set up.
