Tired of art snobs and their stuffy old museums? So was Steve Melcher, so he created That Is Priceless -- dedicated to taking art’s greatest masterpieces down a peg with irreverent new titles. You don’t have to be an art lover to appreciate Steve’s sticking it to the man on a regular basis – especially when that man is someone like Caravaggio, who when you look a little closer, was really kind of a jerk.

That is some serious face furniture. I also like the beard – it’s like a frilly chin

Were it me, I’d tell my friends I was passed out on the lawn and my wife ran the mower over my face.

It’s a comb-up – from his chest and his moustache is actually cultivated nose hair.

Enlarged image can be found here (along with a short description), or at Mr. Melcher’s blog entry.
Count István Széchenyi (link shows his Wikipedia page) is shown by its current-location here (with a different coloration image). Another different coloration image can be found here (which says he is considered to be the ‘Greatest Hungarian’). The artist’s Wikipedia page and collection (many more under Subcategories at each level).
So far, 2 works by this artist have appeared in Mr. Melcher’s blog.

Maybe a bit of Nicholas Cage also (OH Boy….let’s get the ‘vampire thing’ revved up again).

Maybe not the “Greatest Hungarian”, but surely the “Hairiest Greaterian”.

Regardless of his appearance, thanks to MaBrndt that he was a really great statesman for Hungary and once gave a full year’s income to establish a study center and went on to write and publish papers encouraging other aristocrats to give up their tax free status and contribute to the welfare of the country. Very interesting – thanks!
