   While Friends was a decent sit-com, the absolute worst part was Phoebe singing that atonal stupid effing song Smelly Cat. Not funny. And not good.

   I wish I could have been in your shoes. Unfortunately I was trapped in a small house with a wife and two kids who thought all sophomoric Network sitcoms were funny.

   Lucky for me I started work at 4 a.m. so I was in bed before almost all of that slabber started.

   If you want truly sophisticated comedy watch the half hour HBO comedies Girls and Veep.

   Friends is one of those sitcoms that simply doesn’t translate. In French, for example, it’s just people talking.
   Not the mark of good writing.

    Friends is possibly the worst “comedy” I’ve ever been subjected to – I cannot understand it’s popularity.

    Son Favori (Her Favourite Pet) was sold (the source of the 2nd title link, better quality image, use browser zoom to enlarge) by Christie’s in 2003. His Google translated French Wikipedia page and Wikipedia collection.
    
    So far, only work by this artist to appear in Mr. Melcher’s blog.
