Ten abandoned cats live in an old warehouse where they are looked after by a young girl named Annie. They include Chesney, the ringleader, Jack, his sidekick, and Oliver - a wide-eyed kitten. The warehouse contains a boardroom on the very top floor, where, unbeknownst to Annie the moggies conduct the world's business through the eyes of a cat.

Aw, Annie, you are so sweet. That silly worm doesn’t need a bank, he will find gold in a compost pile.

I have been doing the exact same thing since I was a little girl. I know the neighbors must think I’m a nut walking around my driveway in the rain, reaching down to pick up and carry to the garden something unseen to them. Ah so what, maybe I AM a nut ;)

I guess on-line banking would be a real hassle for a worm…no fingers for typing, and squirming all over a touch screen would probably crash his OS (or hack into the Pentagon’s dry cleaning budget, or both).

Graham, where do you come up with this stuff? You sir, are a GENIUS! I was thinking how sweet Annie was to do that, and then came the punch line. I darn near choked laughing so hard!

Now I know where all those worms are going! Thank you Mr. Harrop. The guys at work used to laugh at me, because I would “assist” worms across the parking lot. After a while they got used to it(the guys, not the worms). If I had known the crowd was headed to the bank, I would have left them alone.

Soooo glad to know I’m not the only one who saves worms from drying into worm jerky on the pavement. LOL

A word in favour of Annie’s yellow raincoat. Perfect.

The worms plight is so neglected. I did a piece about this on my strip…
