About Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were created in 1983 by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird. The first book was published in 1984. Since that time, there have been comic books, television shows, movies, action figures and more. The comic strip seen here is based on the popular characters created by Eastman and Laird, following the adventures of Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo and Raphael.

How would pens and pencils help them, even in a TV show?

The pen is mightier than the sword. You can poke enemies with it, put an eye out, lead poisoning.
