Man: That's good privacy is important. Woman: David Brooks of the New York Times is defending privacy. Not for us-for cops. Man: We don't trust cops! Cops are liars! Woman: "Co[ cams... undermine communal bonds. Putting a camera on someone is a sign that you don't trust him." Man: Cameras are just the beginning. Every cop should be tailed by his own drone. GPS should track their every movement. A brain implant would be good... Woman: I get it.
Not been in law enforcement. But body cams are a good first step. They should be followed by a citizens review board to review every use of deadly force. Plus we need to reform or disband police unions. They foster the toxicity of the cop-civilian relationship by tirelessly protecting bad cops.
