What the h3ll are you talking about, Ted? Is this some kind of war on disclosure or … man, you’re getting to be as bad as McCoy.

Looking back on the history of US involvement in other nations’ civil wars, I shudder to think what this will mean for the US in 20 years time. Most of regime change the US gets involved with usually comes back to bite us in the @$$.

You’re kind of making my point for me. http://www.nytimes.com/2013/03/25/world/middleeast/arms-airlift-to-syrian-rebels-expands-with-cia-aid.html

Almost always, yes, that’s right. Even when we genuinely help — like liberating France in 1944 — we end up acting like such tools that the beneficiaries of our largesse wind up resenting us. US foreign policy is spectacularly consistent in its idiocy.

Nothing impresses me less than an artist that has to come and explain his work every day.
Why not draw attitudes that can stand on their own, all good artists use that as a definition of the quality of their works.

Having daily arguments with the readers kinda negates the idea of a picture being worth more than words.

And no, replying to berate my attitude about you will not change it, that’s the point.

Thanks for making me laugh. Because, partly, you’re right – one of the things I like about the Internet is the ability to set the record straight, whereas art assumes its own meaning, being changed by its consumers beyond its original intent.

I’m also laughing because if I never interacted with my readers, people would say I am a snob who doesn’t like the hoi polloi.

The Internet: where you can never, ever win.

Didn’t we covertly arm some other middle east rebels? What was that guy’s name? Osama something, I think. How well did that work out?

Ted I like the idea that you comment (and argue) with you readers, but when you do it why do you post a picture of a young Woody Allen?

Thank you, Gregg. I think, if you’re going to state your opinions in public, the least you can do is explain and defend them.

You’ve heard about the new drink you can order at your local bar, the bin Ladin? A shot and a splash….

    Hey, you started it.

Our covert operations for a long time HAVE remained “covert”, and if they hadn’t Americans might actually realize how many countries we’ve screwed up, or screwed over, especially since WW II.

Ted I figured that, for a political cartoonist, you are pretty rugged looking.

Thank god you don’t look like the people you draw.

Keep posting, even if it must be depressing to have to deal with some of the comments.
