    Just kicking wasn’t enough: they also had to tase the criminal.

    I completely approve. This saves on court costs, and a taser is cheaper than the stuff they use for lethal injection (and we have already expanded capital offences to be anything the President says is capital, and these are classified Top Secret, so be on your best behaviour or else—and this goes for editorial cartoonists: Nuremberg hanged a Nazi cartoonist for drawing anti-American cartoons during the war, and the War on Terror allows the President many powers never given to FDR for WWII).

    I’m glad I’m old and probably won’t live to see, and to try to survive, the armageddon of the total collapse of the USA.

    This is heaven compared to what happens after Ted’s revolution. No one (except execution squads) will have jobs. You will be with the revolution or better be a good hider or hope Canada or Mexico will take you in. Want food? Midnight raids on the neighbors garden will be all that there is to sustain you. Your expensive car will turn into a motionless hunk of metal in your driveway due to no gas. Viva la’ revolution!

    @Mr. King

    Narowminded is just feeling the pinch of austerity. Can’t afford to spell out government. Too expensive.

    : Nuremberg hanged a Nazi cartoonist for drawing anti-American cartoons during the war Come on, really? Are you talking about Rupprecht, Streicher or Eichman? None were hung because of “cartoons” it was their unrelenting use of the press for extermination of minorities that convicted them of their crimes against humanity.

    It could go one of two ways. One-we reach the 5th level of collapse. Even brother against sister as the family breaks down too. Or the “better” alternative two-the Oligarchs get their way and the country mostly resembles what it does now. Only no Bill of Rights or Constitution with the corporates and the evangelicals running the show and they have control of the empire they have been building in this Republic from the inside out.

    This is something completely new to me, and I have taught German, I have lived in Germany, and I have German relatives (one of whom is my wife of 44 years).

    Please tell me where I can learn more of this incident.

    Only a taxocrat nitwit would call cutting a fictional 85 billion from an ever-increasing federal-mafia multi-trillion dollar budget “austerity”. Rall is a fool.
