Actually, future INCREASED spending(debt) will be reduced by a tiny 2%. Still harsh to those it will effect, but the prez declined to target the cuts in a less disruptive way.

He wanted maximum pain to as many as possible so that he can once again blame the Republicans for his failure to lead.

Ted Rall and I agree on this one: I’m a Republican but I’ve said for a long time that we need less Guns and more Butter.

Starving the TSA of funds is a good thing as far as I’m concerned. Same goes for CIA, FBI, BATF.

How about we cut deeply into Federal Prison budget and cut all the people loose whose crime was to exercise freedom (Read hear facist drug laws).

The government keeps saying it can’t get by with less and keep us free. I think there are a lot of places where they can cut deeply and make us all more free.

What will the revolutionaries have to kill random Americans if the drone project is scrapped? They will have to line up people against a wall and machine them down Che style.
Viva the Revolution! How’s it going?

Since government is already so inept, inefficient, and incompetent it is highly unlikely anyone would notice any effects of sequestration which is why the miscreant wants all his departments to make it as painful as possible for both political as well as personal reasons!

To modify the cuts would be to usurp the authority of congress over the budget. The President would be committing an impeachable offense to do such a thing. Congress CANNOT pass that authority to the President, that is exactly why the SCOTUS has overturned the line item veto. Constitution of the United States, Article One, Section 7.

In the last panel. That guy is clearly overqualified for work. We need the less educated employees who aren’t smart enough to ask questions such as his.

BUT, the house passed a bill that would give the president “flexibility” in where he cut due to sequester.Obama VOWED TO VETO IT.

How about a reduction in pay for our “hard working” Senators and Representatives? That ought to put a dent in SOMEthing… I’d love to see what!

Presidents have usurped Congress time and time. Obama has usurped Congress many times as President just as Republican Presidents have done,

Obama usurped Congress when he implemented The Sequester instead of waiting for Congress to act.

I agree Cut all pay for President, Vice President, Senators, and House Members, also force them to pay for their own Health Insurance placing them under the same plans our employers offer us. They must pay 100% of their Health Care without us paying one dime.

Make the President pay $750K each time he fires up AF One. Force him to pay for Security on all of his campaign stops.

Oh, Senators and House Members must work Pro Bono since they’re Million/Billionaires, they should serve for free.

This would give us more money without increasing Taxes

Obama DID NOT implement the “sequester”. It was implemented by the BI-PARTISAN super committee whose purpose was to find ways to lower the national debt——this committee met about one year ago and did not reach any agreement.
