At least with Catalino and Varvel, we can trace back their ridiculous cartoons to some Fox News talking point. Rall’s stuff simply emerges from his own skewed version of reality.

Actually, Obama’s not done a blessed thing beyond bail out his buddies in specific industries.

Actually I think Rall is more poking at the fake to-do about the end of the Mayan calendar. It is a big deal about nothing. So the calendar ends, big deal. Our calendar ends on December 31, does that mean the world is ending? NO! It simply means the cycle will begin again. And that fallacy is beign equated to the fallacy that President Obama did nothing to improve the economy. When you’re going 90 miles an hour in the wrong direction, it take awhile to get the bus stopped, turned around and to make up that ground run in the wrong direction.

So I think Rall wasn’t so much supporting President Obama and his policies as much as he was simply poking fun at the gullibility of some people. Those who think the Mayans foretold the end of the world and those who are gullible enough to believe that President Obama did nothing for the economy?

If you dug your head out of limbo/faux’s rear and cleaned you eyes you would see that President Obama has tried many things, he has tried for many things. Every time President Obama wanted to do something, wanted to hold those responsible to answer for their actions, the republicans blocked him. In fact the republicans blocked nearly everything President Obama has tried to do. Whether President Obama’s policies and “wish list” would have been to our detriment or our betterment is unknown because the republicans blocked anything they could just because it was something President Obama proposed. Ever hear of a filibuster? By threatening it the reTHUGlicans effectively forced the Senate, you know one of the chambers of the Congress, to have a super-majority to pass any legislation that the reTHUGlicans didn’t like. But that wasn’t good enough, even if the Senate had the 60 votes the House (the other chamber of Congress) would have blocked it anyway. So even though the Democrats had control of the White House and a mere majority in the Senate the reTHUGlicans held this nation hostage for their owners’ demands. If there wasn’t an outsized benefit for the rich and powerful then the legislation could not pass. So it is NOT President Obama who has done nothing for the economy. It is in fact the republicans who have held this nation, our economy and to an extent the economy of the world hostage. All because their friends, financiers and campaign buyers (owners) who already possess and control a vast majority of the wealth of this country (some estimates are as much as 70% of the wealth controlled by the top 1%) weren’t getting control of even more.

Uh, Obamacare, the stimulus, incredible deficits, unholy alliance with big business while destroying small business, no Federal budget for 4 years? Yes, Obama has done a lot to the economy. All bad.

Because things would have been much better if he had just let the banks and the car companies collapse…

Obama didn;t exactly do nothing, but he didn’t move forcefully enough on all the things that would have made a difference.

the Govt needs to spend money right now to keep money flowing through the economy. It;s just that after the GOP raided the budget surplus, and crashed the economy, they are suddenly ‘worried’ about deficits. Tey didn;t worry about them as they BALLOONED under Reagan and the Bushes, but when a Dem needs to spend money, suddenly deficits matter. The GOP just wants to see the economy crash and they don’t what happens after that,

Is that a turkey on the President’s carpet, masquerading as an eagle? If so, I think it’s a wonderful metaphor for the Oval Office’s current occupant.

Why are you turning on Rall? You loved him from January 21, 2001 to January 21, 2009 when he was critical of ‘W’ Bush and painting Bush as Hitler. yet when Rall sees Obama as ‘W’ bush, you have a problem with this concept.

Facts are facts, and Rall is correct, Obama is exactly like ‘W’ Bush, and Rall is the only Liberal Politico Cartoonist whi is brave enough to tell the truth about Obama.

What can a President do? Especially when he has to cut spending, reduce the deficit and repay the debt, as by the demands of the leading party in the House? Imagine he would somehow manage to get some money to some company in order to hire some workers. Know what the GOP would say? “SOLYNDRA!!!”. Maybe the world should end on the 21st, I’m in the right mood for it…
