Ah yes, Obama’s words regarding Gaza said without a hint of irony.
I’m curious to hear what the usual hypocrites will say.
It’s one thing if the US is doing it, another if it is someone the US doesn’t like doing it.

Hypocrisy, yes. But as long as Pakistan supports and hides Al-Qaeda they deserve what they get. Of course if we’d have gotten Bin Laden years ago, we might be out of there already.

Yeah, I winced when I read that he had said that.
Right is with those that have the might.

    You Libs voted for him.
Voting for a lying hypocrite makes one a lying hypocrite.

No, for once Ima has (something of a) point. Pakistan has made an art of taking our money with one hand and twisting our short-and-curlies with the other. Sometimes it feels as though our “aid” to their government amounts to “please don’t sell your nukes to terrorist organizations” bribe money. Our relationship with that government needs to be seriously re-evaluated.
Of course, that doesn’t excuse the indiscriminate killing of civilians, no matter what some of the more reactionary types around here might say.

Indiscriminate killing of civilians has become all the rage these days. And it leads to more rage. Am I pointing a finger? Well, I’ve got ten fingers pointing ten directions….

There were about 17 sets of candidates on my ballot. It was either Bill Clinton, Obama or Roseanne Barr for me. Bill wasn’t on the ballot. I didn’t think Roseanne would garner enough votes to win. I very happily voted for Barrack Obama, again.

In re Ima having a point. it is possible. (Even a blind hog…Even a stopped watch…etc). Nevertheless, I encourage you not to respond. If you feed them they keep returning. It isn’t worth the trouble of cleaning up after them

The Pakis are complicit in the air strikes but deny it to their public. They denied Bin Gotten was in their country but turned a blind eye to his being there. They take our money and agree to be our allies but place their own interests first…must be where Romney got his ideas about campaigning for president.

Wasn’t Ali Khan a Pakistani? And we keep giving them aid so their nukes won’t rain down on India or anyone else they get pissed at. I wish we could just pre-emptively go in and destroy them, but the info and expertise to reproduce is already out there.

By all means criticise the Pakistani government for their apparent duplicity; but I don’t think you wish to be offensive. I’d be careful when using the abbreviation “Pakis”; I think Dubya once used it? It is extremely offensive to Pakistanis and is not similar to “Brits” for British.

‘They take our money and agree to be our allies but place their own interests first’
Just cannot get good lackeys anymore. :(
Tell me, whose interests does the US place first?… Then why wonder when Pakistan places its own interests first. All countries will do it. If they do not, they’re not sovereign. Try paying a higher price until they don’t care about their sovereignty and then your interests will be above theirs. Just a matter of finding that price. ;-)

@edinbaltimore: Do you realise that when non-Americans such as myself – and Pakistanis, Indians, Iranians, North Koreans et al as well – read Americans stating: " I wish we could just pre-emptively go in and destroy them" we see unwarranted belligerence and aggression in another state’s affairs. Looks like sheer bloody arrogance and hypocrisy. You don’t like the threat of having nukes poses but are happy to threaten others? It doesn’t go down well.
