Deploying the razor-sharp wit and incisive take-no-prisoners satire characteristic of his generation, Gen Xer Ted Rall has become one of the most widely read editorial cartoonists in America. Twice the winner of the Robert F. Kennedy Journalism Award and a Pulitzer Prize finalist, Rall's work has appeared in hundreds of newspapers, as well as such magazines as Time, Newsweek, Fortune and MAD. He is also the author of 15 books, including several graphic novels and political polemics about Central and South Asia.

Exactly. That was my point a few days ago also, in a comment… But maybe he’s just “rot light” and not very good at denying it, so he’s not qualified. He can be back when he has murdered his mistress in front of his wife and convinced her the man she saw wasn’t her husband but her own lover.

You have to be a moral person to do all that killing.

The overwhelming majority of Americans agree that our President knows who’s a jihadist and who isn’t, that all those assassinations, coups, sabotage, and cyberattacks on other nations are absolutely essential to keep America safe, and very few, if any, innocents have been killed by the US military acting under the President’s orders. (And they don’t believe any Stanford studies that 98% of those goatherds were completely innocent.)
Mr Rall’s problem is that he not only went to Afghanistan, he went without a US military escort to make sure he only saw the TRVTH. So he doesn’t understand that every single goatherd killed by the US in Afghanistan and Pakistan was days, maybe hours, away from attacking the US with some WMD and killing us all.
But getting into bed with a biographer, and then not taking the basic e-mail precautions any reasonable Lothario would take, represents the greatest disgrace in the history of the CIA.

It’s almost stunning to think that anybody in D.C. would still believe that email is personal & confidential. What was he thinking?….or not.

I prefer the term “slag”. Either that or start giving “stud” negative connotations.

That is the sound of the hammer hitting the nail right on the head!

And yet… I can’t picture Leon Panetta… But that may have to do with being able to and not wanting to picture Leon en flagrante!

I forgot the intercepted e-mails. It was Petreus’ job to supervise the interception of all non-US e-mail. He knew people in the US read every pk.yahoo.com and ir.yahoo.com and cn.yahoo.com e-mail, but somehow didn’t realise that the restrictions on the CIA are because all domestic surveillance belongs to the NSA, the DHS, and the FBI.
So he figured as long as he stuck with 100% red-white-and-blue e-mail, he and his paramour(s?) would be perfectly safe. An easy mistake for an old general to make.
