Deploying the razor-sharp wit and incisive take-no-prisoners satire characteristic of his generation, Gen Xer Ted Rall has become one of the most widely read editorial cartoonists in America. Twice the winner of the Robert F. Kennedy Journalism Award and a Pulitzer Prize finalist, Rall's work has appeared in hundreds of newspapers, as well as such magazines as Time, Newsweek, Fortune and MAD. He is also the author of 15 books, including several graphic novels and political polemics about Central and South Asia.

Well, Ted IS being “non-partisan”.

I liked it better when he skewered the shrubster, with his continuously dripping nose.

Calling all the people who gave their lives for our freedom to vote “stupid” is truly what the word stupid means.

Not voting = giving up your right to complain afterwards.

I am sad that this man has such a lack of respect and understanding for what I do. Please Ted, go live in North Korea and see what the other side is like. I may not like who made it to the final two, but I had my say, and I’m not stupid for fighting for america.

Active-duty military are, shall we say, ‘strongly discouraged’ from political thinking, especially below the rank of colonel (captain if Navy), where it all
becomes politics. A better description would be ‘under-educated, and misled’.
Unfortunately, most Americans are now ‘under-educated and misled’, and swayed solely by emotion, rather than fact. And folks, the facts are ugly. Both itisme and Russel Riley take exception to ‘stupid’, but are unaware of what they, and most of us, have been missing. We are now frankly ruled by the very wealthy, who can buy all three branches of government, and have long owned the
‘fourth estate’, the press. But as Heinlein said, “Of course the game is rigged. But if you don’t bet, you can’t win.” So by all means, educate yourself, and vote your conscience, a third or fourth party, if they say what you believe. It can’t hurt, and might help.

Let ‘s all move to North Korea. There we won’t have to worry our lazy brains about voting. Problem solved!

At the rate the liberals and democrats are going, you will not have to move to North Korea, they will have brought it here.

My “stupid” daughter graduated summa cum lauda and then went on and got her masters after discharge from the military.

Methinks Ted’s problem as pertains to this is “stupidity”.

The character (not Mr Rall) said those that died were stupid. Since your daughter didn’t die (unless she graduated posthumously) she was not included in the statement.

@zoidknight
How are the liberals and democrats promoting ANYTHING resembling North Korea? Please be specific. Also, I’d like to read your definition of socialist.

For those who read his blog (link on this page), Mr Rall has said he wants Romney to win, since Romney’s policies will force a revolution.
You may say Mr Rall is a dreamer, but he’s not the only one. However, he is very close to being the only one. He may hope that someday you here will join him, but you won’t, and the world isn’t going to be as one.

Something has gone terribly wrong with Mr. Rall. First off, I remember when my liberal/progressive friends thought Reagan getting into office would spur a reaction, but they were wrong. If Robme won we would be thrown further down the well.
And for as not voting, that solves nothing. Absolutely nothing. It only allows a psychotic minority to take power and worsen the situation.
Shame Mr. Rall, shame.

I appreciate you defense of Mr. Rall, but I’m not quite sure how to separate the talk balloon Mr. Rall wrote and Mr. Rall. Although your argument about my daughter’s graduation is logically correct from the data given in the ’toon, the argument, “stupid”, is oft used as a general disparagement of those that join the military and that was my interpretation of the ’toon.
