Deploying the razor-sharp wit and incisive take-no-prisoners satire characteristic of his generation, Gen Xer Ted Rall has become one of the most widely read editorial cartoonists in America. Twice the winner of the Robert F. Kennedy Journalism Award and a Pulitzer Prize finalist, Rall's work has appeared in hundreds of newspapers, as well as such magazines as Time, Newsweek, Fortune and MAD. He is also the author of 15 books, including several graphic novels and political polemics about Central and South Asia.

Bring our troops home now. We’re wasting American resources there. We sure could use it here and keep our troops employed and much safer.

While there is a definite bitter irony to this, surely Rall can’t think that Romney would be any better — all that would happen is that we would continue to kill people in the Middle East AND women in America would lose their rights.

Vote Democratic in November. Sweep the tea party out.

It’s the military industrial complex that keeps the wars going for profit. America is the tool to enforce coporate empires.

Rall’s ‘cartoon’ is offensive at every level.

Agree that the drone war is pretty horrific, Ted, but this is kind of a bizarre comparison. You think Romney WON’T keep using drones AND would take away a right to choose?
Even by your standards, it isn’t a choice between good and bad, it’s a choice between bad and worse, and that can sometimes be sharper.

Of course, under Muslim law, she had many, many choices.

Please notice that it is your Chosen One, the Great Messiah Obama trying to get us involved in Iran and has already involved us in Syria and Libya.

Vote American, and sweep the democratic national socialist party out.

Please cease to link the Democratic party with the Nazi party. Besides being flatly untrue, it is inappropriate, and it will get you flagged.

Nothing in the cartoon implies that Romney would be any better. IMO, it’s not about telling us what we should do or who to vote for. It’s about looking at things from a different perspective and thereby making you think.

I don’t actually have a Messiah.
Here in reality, the Republicans advocated for action in Syria right up until the point that Obama indicated he might act, and then, lest they ever be seen to support the President in anything, then the Republicans had to start painting it as a mistake. And it is not like Republican presidents have ever hesitated to involve the country in invasions of Middle Eastern countries, now, is it. There is no indication anywhere that Mitt would do different, or that he wouldn’t just end up at war with everyone, given how much he managed to piss off every country he visited in his last world tour.
