Well, his sights, and those of many others, are already set on Iran. It might have something to do with that revolving door at the Pentagon leading to contractor’s lobbies.

So giving people choice on Medicare, getting rid of Obamacare and cutting spending are the same as nuking his own country. OK buddy, easy on those funny cigarettes.

I think they will bomb, bomb bomb Iran. Note that Iraq and Afghanistan were not mentioned in their lying speeches.

My father told me (50 years ago) that Democrats started all the wars, and then we had to elect a Republican president to end them. Boy, times have changed.

Gotta admit this one kind of puts Rall’s Obama critiques in perspective.

I don’t mind correcting you sir.
War of 1812—Started—Democratic Republican, Ended Democratic Republican
Mexican American War—Started Democrat ended Democrat
Civil War—Started Democrat(Buchanan), ended Republican
Spanish American War—Started Republican, ended Republican
WWI—Started Democrat, ended Democrat
WWII—Strarted Democrat, ended Democrat
Korean Started Democrat, ended Republican
Vietnam—Started Democrat (be serious the eisenhower sending of marines did not start the war Kennedy’s policies did, ""Now we have a problem making our power credible and Vietnam looks like the place", ended Republican
Gulf War—Started Republican, ended Republican
Afghanistant—Started Republican
Iraq—Started Republican, not over yet.
AS to your contention we did not start WWI or WWII, we also did not start the war of 1812, the Civil War, the Gulf War, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, the Iraq War, or the Afghanistan War. The only ones we actually started were the War of Independence, the spanish american war and the Mexican American War.

Well, they would’ve to mention “He who shall not be named” if those two countries would have come up. I wonder how George W. Bush feels, being on the same level of universal despise as “Lord Voldemort”. But then again he can always take solace in his buddy, Richard “Darth Vader” Cheney…

I do not like Ted Rall’s work.

“we also did not start the war of 1812, the Civil War, the Gulf War, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, the Iraq War, or the Afghanistan War”
The US DID start the War of 1812 (the British provocations were a side effect of their desperate war against Napoleon. The war in Vietnam was an outgrowth of the French failure to hold their ‘colony’ coupled with US Cold War containment strategy. The US definitely started the Iraq War.

“Obamacare” is saving me thousands of dollars each year. Choice on Medicare means here some money – go buy your own insurance. And if it costs more than you receive, that comes out of your pocket.

It’s a cartoon. Cartoons are cartoonish. They exaggerate the truth in order to try to arrive at a bigger truth. In this case, the bigger truth I’m trying to get at is that Romney’s proposals would take a country that is in terrible shape—which, right now, is largely Obama’s fault—and make it worse.
No, I don’t think Romney will nuke the country.

Iraq has not ended, nor is there any prospect of it ending soon. Those newspaper headlines are a lie.
