Just like killing people, it’s legal and may even be even laudable (by Fox News anyway) if you do it under your country’s flag.

"W"s “kill list”: Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, and anyone who opposed Cheney and their corporate “friends”.

Errrr… this site actually has all of Ted’s toons since 1996. Just click the little “calender” icon above and right of the toon. I did so recently, of of curiosity. You will see that Ted really, really hated Bush! Ted’s problem with the current President is a deep frustration with the “system” itself, with the machine that prevents actual change. Read his book “Anti-American Manifesto” and you understand.

Addendum: you have to click, then go to 2002, then click again to get to 1996.

Right on, et. Not to mention Ted’s scathing mockery of Pat Tillman

Who would you prefer having the kill list for our country? (And don’t be silly enuff to say just love everybody.)
pbarnrob said, 11 months ago
@walruscarver2000
Look up the term ‘Letters of Marque and Reprisal’, and who’s allowed to issue them… and that would be Congress (interesting article at Wikipedia; none since 1856, though sub-hunter Goodyear airships in WWII skirted close, and Ron Paul had proposed a new version after 9/11.)
But under a (any) Unitary President? Not a Good Idea.

@pbarnrob
Letters of Marque went out with the last Indian war. This congress won’t even act on issues at home, let alone overseas.

I’ll be silly enough to point out that “love everybody” is not quite the same as “don’t kill anybody who isn’t a soldier of a country with which we’re at war and who hasn’t been proven guilty of a capital crime in a fair and open trial.”

Nothing wrong with killing in self-defense. But that doesn’t generally involve lists, and the people our country kills are generally not a threat to us. We just want their stuff, as usual.
