Deploying the razor-sharp wit and incisive take-no-prisoners satire characteristic of his generation, Gen Xer Ted Rall has become one of the most widely read editorial cartoonists in America. Twice the winner of the Robert F. Kennedy Journalism Award and a Pulitzer Prize finalist, Rall's work has appeared in hundreds of newspapers, as well as such magazines as Time, Newsweek, Fortune and MAD. He is also the author of 15 books, including several graphic novels and political polemics about Central and South Asia.

I never saw the slightest implication that Rodney King hated cops or craved revenge. Maybe heaven will be a place where people get to project their own issues on Ted Rall.

King’s famous quote “…can’t we just all get along” could have been by Jesus himself. I therefor doubt very much that he would want this in heaven.

I guess Ted Rall’s view of heaven is a place where you can still see weird things to make cartoons about.

This is one of Rall’s trademarks. Trying to make a point using such a weird and jaundiced toon that he ends up alienating even those that might agree with him on some of his points.
Given Rodney King’s brutal beating at the hands of the police and his desire to find a way for us to get along, he deserves better in a toon meant to memorialize him.

Huh?

This is the first time one of Ted’s cartoons has disappointed me. Is he projecting his own feelings about police brutality? When cops abuse their power, that’s when they become pigs. Please don’t join them Ted.

I don’t think the police (who all go to Heaven) have to ever worry about being confronted by that scumbag Rodney King! He’s probably being sodomized by Satan right now!

Unless this is an attempt at satire, you’re a vicious twit.

A weird notion of heaven, but not far from the notion of some ancient writers (Tertullian was one I believe) that inhabitants of heaven would be entertained by the torment of the damned.

Your second guess is correct. Skip does not do satire.
