   This strip is another liberal racist piece. The issues have nothing to do with legal immigration and everything to do with illegal immigration, but racist liberals cannot see that they are two different things.

   Mildly amusing, but certainly not one of Rall’s best. Skin tone has nothing to do with opposition to illegal immigration. And although it just a cartoon, it still has to make sense to be effective. If we somehow got rid of “dark-skinned immigrants” there would still be plenty of native born of all skin colors and income levels.

    Since when did you have to be a citizen to be required to pay taxes?
    If you make the money in the US you pay taxes on it in the US.
    Which is how some of those BigBusinesses are getting out of paying taxes on a lot of their income. They make the money elsewhere and don’t bring it IN to the US; thus they don’t “need” to pay taxes on that income.
    (The tax laws are VERY unclear on how that works.)

    Check out the tax rate on monies made overseas. You get taxed by the country in which the monies were made and then get taxed again (at a punitive rate if memory serves) when you bring what’s left home. So, why bring it home?
