Meet the new boss, same as the old.
Not reversing all of this immediately is what is disappointing me so much about Obama.
Being President right now is easier than you think. Just do the opposite of whatever Bush and Cheney did. Raally. It’s just that simple.

The Executive branch of the government has become too powerful in recent history, since FDR. I don’t imagine the Obama Administration will voluntarily relinquish any of the powers it has inherited.

I am getting sick of this president not paying attention to war and peace. He has not ended our involvement in Iraq. I don’t buy the argument that we can’t just pull out. we can, if we do it with UN involvement. Also he has just moved the war to Afghanistan. What good does that do? More killing of innocent people. The Taliban never attacked the United States. They, at times, befriended Osama Bin Laden, but the whole story there is more complicated than that. It is a tribal country with many shifting alliances and we cannot just go occupying every country that has evil people in it. It is an unjust war and we need to get out of it!!!

pretty decent installment here. my only complaint is that Rall is using the same points over and over.
third panel was hilarious. would request a cartoon covering how bleeep the economy is next time.

The sad commentary on our times is that Ted Rall hit the ball out of the park in each of his four panels above. But let us take cheer from the fact that the US government is fighting unceasingly for something it calls «human rights» and «democracy» around the world (to the tune of a million million dollars annually (just the military costs) - either scooped from the pockets of US taxpayers or borrowed from their Chinese counterparts - one can’t help wondering who’s getting a slice of the action)….
