Obama should have swallowed his pride and picked Hillary as his VP. Hillary would have delivered the crucial votes that Obama is going to need to put him over the top in November. Now the race is wide open and up for grabs. Let’s just hope that McCain picks the black hole of charisma, Joe Leiberman, as his VP. He’s the only living person blander than Biden.

I’m pretty sure that Hillary didn’t want the VP spot to start with and I don’t think she would fit well in that position. However, I think she would be a great choice for Secretary of State.

Biden, bland? Are you kidding? That’s the last word that I would use to describe him.

Anyone with a brain knows Hillary did not want a VP slot…

The difference between what you want and what you get is a little thing called reality. If you don’t face up to reality, you get four more years of wrong choices.

Hillary has now built her power base within the party. She is already by way of this primary most likely the most powerful senator starting in 2009. And she really DOES get along well with Barak OBAMA. As VP she would never be able to do what she will now. It will never hurt to have a powerful ally in the senate, or if you are in the senate, to have a powerful ally in the President. Hillary wins, Barak wins.
The people of the United States win.

Obama, not Hillary, is who Rove promised McCain back in 2004 that he would run against so he would win. Otherwise McCain would have thrown his support against the war and torture. As usual we have a choice between nothing and less than nothing. I hope I’m wrong but if you think Obama is going to win you are a fool. This was Hillary’s turn to be president, 1st woman, with Obama, 1st African-Am., to follow her in 2016. Now the Republicans have got exactly what they want.

Ted is right on with this as always!

A ray of light at the end of the tunnel! McCain tried to capitalize on Obama’s blunder by picking his own female running mate. How typically Republican it is to misread the American people by picking an unqualified female like Palin, who will actually repulse independent women voters with her anti-choice platform.

Wasn’t Indiana Senator Knot Smart on Bush the Smarter’s ticket 20 years ago?

It’s pretty despicable to feature McCain in POW garb with the sign in the back saying: “To do: Stay Alive” They constantly bemoan anytime McCain mentions his POW years, yet they can’t shut up about it and always move to belittle it. Pathetic.

It seems to me that the lefties, who are supposedly the more tolerant of the two sides of the aisle always resort to vile generalizations of someone based on personal traits instead of their politics. (ie: McCain being old, Palin being a “bimbo”)

I wish these people would grow up.
