I thought we had already defeated the Taliban? Oh, I forgot. It was just another “Mission Accomplished” from our Commander-In-Thief that never really happened. Such a shame that we abandoned the real war in Afghanistan for Bush’s Folly in Iraq!

Bush DID not doo 911, he was busy at Booker School on Sarasota reading My Pet Goat. Is he really RESPONSIBLE 4 everything the NeoCons do?? Too bad the commission was so badly stage managed…..Having Hayden destroy thoze tapes that WERE KEPT SECRET from the comission was BAD theater… Looks like “they” got away again…

Okay, no one has conquered Afghanistan since Alexander the Great - the British failed, the Russians failed, it may well be impossible; but will Obama have any other real option? He can only disengage from Iraq by shifting the USA’s one-topic-at-a-time attention back to Afghanistan. A no-win proposition, though …

Here’s another place Rall goes wrong. 10k U.S. troops are more likely to kick some serious *. As Otis has rightly said however, the problem is always getting out of Afghanistan.
