It isn't just a boomer thing: A Gen X Cartoonist's personal reminiscence of the JFK Assassination Man 1: Gather round 'lil millennials and hear my tale lo. I was alive when JFK got shot. Man 2: Tell all! Woman: Thrill us with your demographic superiority! Man 1: I was 2 months old. That's all I got. Woman: Worst generation ever. Man 2: They think they invented missing out.
The generally accepted baby boomer birth years, according to Wikipedia, were 1946-1964.Why do some people always have something negative to say? Why do some of them always seem to be RWNJs?What’s wrong with the name, ‘Baby Boomer’? I was born right in the middle of that time span and my 14 month old booms just like I do. Like father, like son. That’s my boy!Remember that the hippies, the antithesis of many Boomer values, are Baby Boomers. We are everywhere. @Thomas Thieme: I can over-generalize too. Cut the electrical umbilical cord, put down the smart phone, pull your head out of your colon and wake up to reality.I was 8, and JFK was one of my heroes. Most authority figures are heroes to 8 year olds. My mother spoke very highly of him; it was the only time I ever saw my mother cry. I also remember air raid drills and I now understand the connection between them and JFK. He was just another leading figure of the Money Party but he angered the wrong people. My Mom died at the beginning of 2012 and I miss her very much. I try to honor her memory by trying to teach my boys (I have a 5 year old too) the same values she instilled in me. Be human! Thanks, Mom.
