I think we each have valid points on this subject. I suppose if I could afford to live in the United States, some of these problems wouldnt bug me as much.
Sending loads of American troops to fly over to Haiti and supply food isn’t really practical, regardless of how little you care about the vastness of American’s military spending budget. Americans can use that cash that is being thrown around to “fly” troops to Haiti. The cost of fuel, the troop count. With so many airplanes coming and going to supply food and supplies, It is a far better solution, though it will have to put to use wisdom, of sending the supplies and food to Haiti via boat from the Florida southeast coastline, and send homeless and jobless Americans along with a few troops, and non deadly weapons to distribute the items gathered. I understand that the government is set to handle situations such as these, yet Im still having a problem with spending loads of cash to American troops while Im in the United States getting robbed by car insurance, living expenses, car cost’s, gas prices, electric, taxes and so on, and neither anybody or nobody cares. Yet Im supposed to call American troops heroes? What for, for looking for a job to pay bills by joining the military. Who cares, your no different from anybody else that is getting charged taxes and is forced to get a job to pay them. So stop robbing me and then expecting me to honor you with reverence. Everyday each and every one of us go through things that could be considered heroic. We each have struggles that we are forced to overcome, though it is only by the grace of God that we are able to do anything.
I actually think deadly bullets should be illegal.(Since you mention , giving guns to random Haitians).
Solution: Rubber Bullets
Bullets that are made of rubber. We should be trained to handle such situations without killing, that is actual skill, tightens the bar by setting it to a precise, accurate degree of utilizing each soldier to the best of a soldiers ability. Individuality.
