So the girl may be the heir to the chest? Tarzan can give her the box, mount up and ride back to Casa Clayton on the outskirts of Nairobi.

…and his children grew up to be terrorists.(The Arab guy’s kids, not the German’s)

The German’s kids might have grown up to belong to the Baader-Meinhof Group, though, had the commander made it out of the desert. The Arab guy’s kid is too hot to be a terrorist.

Naw, she grew up to be stranded in an oasis. Arabs as terrorists really wasn’t a stereotype back in the early 1960s.

Ah, Tarzan has found the rightful owner to the chest, saving him a long trek thru the desert. Now he can ditch the camel and catch Dubai Airlines back to the jungle.

Thank God. I was sitting here so distraught thinking that Tarzan might NEVER find the rightful owner of the chest. Luckily for him, it only took about three or four days worth of strips!

this story limps on like a tank with a broken tread.
Night-Gaunt49 said, 2 months ago
So this was a Wermacht panzer not an SS one.

No that is Alley Oop that limps, this story is moving on at a good pace.

Yeah nightgaunt49. There is some slow parts but then you get a strip like todays that shocks. That guy just killed a man in cold blood. That is a very violet act to comprehend especially in a daily comic. I would grade todays strip a 10 of 10 because it shows evil that exists and that we try to pretend can’t happen in our civilized lives.

You’re right again—I’ll just relax and enjoy the ride back into the past.

@saywhat?, true but back then there were cowboys and gangsters getting shot all the time on TV. There was an old show “the Naked City” that was pretty violent and gritty with otherwise innocent folk being on the wrong end, plus only 20 years after WW2 the memories were pretty fresh of the Nazis. For instance the first Iraq war would be similar history for us.

Stories need to have times of no action. Or else I burn out. And this has a murder in panel 3!
