Edgar Rice Burroughs (1875–1950) was an American author. He is best known as an early influence in the science fiction genre, specifically through the creation of his best known series, Tarzan of the Apes and John Carter of Mars. He was a prolific author in general and made contributions to many other genres.

Yeah, but Burger King admitted to selling horseflesh in their burgers. One of the reasons ranchers don’t name their cattle is that it makes them harder, morally, to slaughter. I wouldn’t want to kill and eat as loyal an animal as Omtag. And neither horses for the same reason. Omtag has proven himself more helpful as a transportation vehicle than a source of meat. Didn’t he carry 2 antelope on his back yesterday?

Today, Tarzan is mistaken when he says Omtag should roam the plains without him. Giraffe eat leaves from trees, very few trees on the plains and the grass not high enough for a giraffe to eat.

Omtag will prove the smartest member of the council, wait and see. Those “bangings” are just Sonny & Cher rehearsing for their bigtime concert in Nairobi at the shopping mall! Maybe they’ll run into Jane & jolly old Gov’nr Bisby partying around…….

The real question is whether Omtag is the Giraffe’s name, given to him by Tarzan, or the Great Ape word for Giraffe?

Yes the giraffes eat from the tall trees they can find and along the periphery of the forests.
