Edgar Rice Burroughs (1875–1950) was an American author. He is best known as an early influence in the science fiction genre, specifically through the creation of his best known series, Tarzan of the Apes and John Carter of Mars. He was a prolific author in general and made contributions to many other genres.

Looks to me like padre Joe has come down with a case of Mambu Zombieitis in that last panel, or he has fallen under a bad spel of religious stupor rendering him senseless…..a bad reaction to “dat ole tyme religion”.
