    Unless it’s the Wonderlic test, when you have to explain WHY it’s a joke, followed by the question, “If you were a joke, what would your punchline be and why?”

    Change of subject: I’ve been away. Who won Sports Jerk of the Year? My money’s on Lance Armstrong.

    Armstrong deserved the title, but Gary Bettman didn’t get away unnoticed. The SJOY series ran Jan 28-Feb 1 if you want to check the archives. In case you’ve been away for more than a couple of months, note that Jeff Millar passed away in December. Bill Hinds is taking care of the strip on his own now.

    Having the honor to spend 9 seasons in the league at my handle, now employed as a league coach, I can assure you beyond any doubt that the Combine is not a joke. The joke are the teams that ignore the HUGE RED FLAGS.

    some teams make brillant picks, others(like the Lions) waste their #1 picks year after year
    Altho it does look like the Lions are finally starting to make a few fairly good picks(but damn do they STILL need a good QB) or like the Cowboys who have massive needs on defense and on the Oline, but still waste picks on players they do not need, or who have never grown up

    They should trade down to get more picks. There isn’t anyone in the draft that is a slam-dunk, worthy #1 overall pick. But since overall #1 picks aren’t as expensive as they used to be I expect the Chiefs not to trade down. But I would.
