Sports is Tank McNamara’s beat, his livelihood. A former professional football player who’s now a TV sportscaster, Tank McNamara reports on the breaking sports stories of the day: the hot players and angry coaches, the pending lawsuits and drawn-out strikes, the constant roar and ever-increasing hype that make organized sports one of the world’s most lucrative businesses.

How about Mitt ? He claims he singlehandedly saved the Olympics, and he admits, he like to fire people.

Wake up, guys. The Packers-Seahawks fiasco forced the referees’ union to settle. The regular refs are back.

Daily comics are done weeks in advance

I suppose they didn’t want to waste all the work they put into this arc but it would’ve been much funnier before the owners caved in (I mean compromised).

It has to be The Donald! Who knows more about ruining football than him? Just ask the other owners of the USFL.

Or how about The Anointed One? He’d seemed more interested in getting the real zebras back on the field than Iran making nukes!

It forced the union to settle? The NFL was the ones with egg on their face(s), not the union.

Yeah, the deadline issue is frustrating for us. I think they should have checked with us before they settled. Frankly, the regular refs have made some dicey calls so the reality show might work for them.

Re: “Done weeks in advance.”
Check the title on the strip. “The Great Sub Ref Disaster of 2012 – Ten hours after Packers/Seahawks game” was not done weeks in advance…

The game was two weeks ago.

The Packers-Seahawks game was weeks ago. These strips were probably done the day after the game.
