   True. However, when I went to junior high school, we had a group of severely-disabled special-needs kids swimming just before our swimming class.
   One day, we observed feces at the bottom of the 11’ (3.5 meters) end.
   Our teacher wanted us to swim without removing the turd! We all refused, even with the threat of disciplinary action. We told the teacher that HE would be subject to disciplinary action if he made us swim in a contaminated pool.

   We found a dead rat in our high school swimming pool once.
   We used to play water polo, too, but I think the day we found it we were just swimming laps.

   at least you had a pool. our swim team went off campus to practise, and most of the school wasn’t even aware we had one until the yearbooks were delivered.
