Daryle Lamonica with George Blanda as his backup. Great idea, Al!

Hah, I was just waiting for something like this. Go for it, Al, bring back Fred Biletnikoff and Warren Wells too!

Don’t forget the best “L” quarterback of all. Bobby Layne!!!
He led the Lions to their last championship, about 1957.
I’m afraid “L” will have to resuscitate him, though, since he’s been deceased for a while.
Rumor has it that in anger at being traded to Pittsburgh in 1958, Bobby cursed the Lions for fifty years.
So, guys, it looks like the Lions in the Superbowl this year!!
Personally, I’m not betting on that. Curses are d*mned hard to control.

Jeff, didn’t you mean “…whose names BEGIN with ‘L’ “?

Is this a Oakland comic strip? Can’t Tank cover OTHER things?

Uh, we WERE warned at the beginning of the week that we’d see six days of these strips. Must be Tank’s version of a Halloween horror story.

I guess “Daryle” ends in L, phonetically speaking.
