..do the Cub fans want a show or do they want to win…oh…dumb question…

If I wasn’t a Red Sox fan, I’d be a Cubs fan. Next year!

Sorry, that comic is totally inaccurate! The snoozy “jazz” station in Chicago, WNUA, switched to a Spanish-language format this spring.

If the Cubs played games in the morning, Lou could be listening to Eric & Kathy.

It’s either the cool jazz or Prozac. The jazz is cheaper and has fewer side effects.

i prefer classical music myself. jazz comes a close second in the “calming music” hit parade. when i was in Chicagoland a couple of years ago, i was lucky enough to find a ‘classical’ music station to help me through their rush hour traffic. (and to figure out the toll booth system)

Classical? I’m rather surprised. The team never ceases to amaze me in its diversity and ability to deter stereotypes.

Sweet Lou lose his fire? The man who once kicked an outfield fence after making a bad out at bat the half-inning before - and the fence fell in on him? Never!

If he has, it isn’t because of soft jazz radio. He played for managers like Earl Weaver and Billy Martin. He played and managed for ownership groups that would drive you crazy (the Royals, the Mariners, the Rays) or owners that were crazy (Steinbrenner, Schott). Maybe he was all keyed up for Mark Cuban to buy the Cubs. Since that deal fell through, he doesn’t know how to cope!
