I like the “hommage” to Hopper’s “Nighthawks”. With the addition of the little portable TV, of course.

Ah, but once the NBA season ends, the Pale Hose will be in full swing! (the President’s a South Sider, don’t’cha know…) ;-)

Good call, Singess! Nice to see Millar and Hinds know how to mix art with humor so very well.
Do any of you remember the strip’s portrayal of Howard Cosell covering a football game?

Think of all those little portable TV’s, in bars, diners, hospitals, bus stations and countless other places all across America which will suddenly go blank when we finally do make the switch to all digital transmission. Sure, they’ll still work with a converter box, but that kinda goes against the point of ‘portable’ doesnt it?
A lot of thought in just two little panels, very cool.
